I did this painting a few years ago and was not satisfied with it. So I decided to do another one, and I am happy with how it turned out. My first year I was a river guide, here in Moab, the company I worked for did a company Catract Canyon trip at the end of summer. We started just in the late afternoon and got to Dead Horse Point just as the sun setting. It was my first time down the canyon and I was awe struck by the beauty of the canyon.
